Privacy notice

Last updated October 20, 2026

PinkLink hasn't launched yet. This notice covers this pre-launch website, and says how we'll handle email once accounts open. We'll publish a full privacy policy before launch.

Who we are

PinkLink (pinklink.live) is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Questions about privacy go to [CONTACT EMAIL].

What this website collects today

Nothing that you type in: there are no forms, accounts, cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party content on this site. Like any web server, ours keeps short-lived access logs (the time, the page requested and the browser type) to keep the site secure and working. Your IP address is shortened to its network before it's written, so it can't identify you.

Email

Once accounts open, we'll send only email that you trigger yourself:

  • a link to confirm your email address when you create an account;
  • a link to reset your password when you ask for one.

We won't send newsletters, marketing or promotions, and we never buy, rent or share email lists. Messages contain no explicit content. Email is delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service in its Canada (Central) region. If an address bounces or a recipient marks a message as spam, that address is added to a suppression list and we stop sending to it.

When accounts open

To run accounts we'll need your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash), plus anything you choose to publish on a profile. Locations are shown only at the neighbourhood level. We'll describe all of this, and how long we keep it, in the full policy before launch.

Sharing

We don't sell personal information. We use Amazon Web Services, in Canada, to host the site and send email, under their data-processing terms, and we'll disclose information only where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
